Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PromptDuty ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

PromptDuty provides a browser extension and associated dashboard that:

• Monitors prompts sent to AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
• Detects sensitive data including PII, financial data, and confidential information
• Warns users, masks data, or blocks prompts based on configured policies
• Provides compliance reporting and audit logs

3. Account Registration

To use PromptDuty, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Circumvent or disable any security features
• Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access
• Use the Service to process data you don't have rights to process
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

5. Subscription and Payment

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice

Free Trial

• Free trials are limited to 14 days
• No credit card required for trial
• Trial features may be limited

6. Data Processing

By using PromptDuty, you acknowledge that:

• The Service will analyze prompts in real-time
• We do not store the content of your prompts (zero data retention)
• Metadata and usage statistics are collected for service improvement
• You are responsible for configuring appropriate policies

7. Intellectual Property

PromptDuty and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PromptDuty Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of your data. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• All sensitive data will be detected
• The Service will meet all compliance requirements

PromptDuty is a tool to assist with data protection but does not guarantee complete prevention of data leakage.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROMPTDUTY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Damages exceeding the fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PromptDuty from claims arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time via the dashboard
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your access will cease and data will be deleted per our retention policy

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, UK.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
